With just one day before the reduced entry fee expires, this years Congress has exceeded the wildest dreams of the organisers with 122 confirmed entries at 2359 hrs on 30/05/23. Drogheda Congress Update
Entries have now exceeded 100, making this year's tournament the largest in the history of the Congress. With another 6 days until the start of proceedings, organisers are predicting an entry of 120. To avail of the reduced entry fee, entries must be made on or before Wednesday 31st May.
Fixtures 30/05/23
The final match of the Senior Championship takes place on Tuesday Next when Philip Mitchell plays white against Thierry Brearley. While the outcome wont affect the destination of the title, there are valuable rating points at stake.
